Steps to Take In A Pet Emergency

If you are experiencing a vet emergency, follow the steps below.

• Call Ahead If Possible - If you identify an urgent veterinary matter, call our clinic as soon as possible. If it is outside our regular office hours, contact one of the two emergency alternatives listed above to let them know you are on your way.
• Follow Instructions Provided - When you call us to let us know you are on your way, we may provide you with instructions to assist you in applying first aid or make your pet as comfortable as possible. Try to follow these instructions as closely as you can.
• Remain Calm - keep calm and be extra careful around your pet if they are experiencing an urgent veterinary matter. When an animal is in pain, they often react negatively towards anyone trying to help and could bite or scratch.
• Bring Your Pet In For Care - Do not put yourself at risk! Safely bring your pet to our veterinary clinic during our regular office hours from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday, and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on weekends. If your urgent care is outside of our office hours, you can utilize one of the after-hours vet locations above.

• Do you offer urgent care?

  Yes. If your pet requires urgent attention, we will assess them when they arrive at our clinic. Our team will perform an initial evaluation to ensure your pet is stable and provide any immediate care that may be needed. If more advanced diagnostics, monitoring, or treatment are required, we may send to the Emergency Clinic for a full workup.

• Are emergencies/urgent care seen based on appointments?

  Yes. We are an appointment-based clinic. If your pet needs urgent attention, please contact us right away so we can determine the most appropriate care and scheduling options.

• Do you prefer that people call before arriving?

  Yes. We recommend calling before arriving whenever possible. This allows our team to assess your pet's needs, prepare for their arrival, and provide guidance on the most appropriate care, including whether an emergency veterinary hospital may be better equipped to help.

• Do you offer urgent care or sick care on a same-day basis?

  Yes. We offer same-day sick pet appointments whenever possible. Please call us as soon as you notice a concern so we can help your pet receive timely care.

• Do you offer overnight care?

  No. We do not provide overnight care or hospitalization services. If your pet requires overnight monitoring or treatment, we can help coordinate care with a trusted emergency or specialty veterinary hospital.
